30+ years experience in motion

ABB motion, based in Bristol and now China, have provided simple, highly flexible servodrives and powerful motion control products for more than 30 years, previously known as Optimised Control products Ltd and acquired by Baldor in 1997 and ABB in 2011.

Our motivation? 'Motion can be simple'

..and from that we strive to deliver servo drives that are flexible enough to work with practically any controller, though we recommend our own! And servo drives that are intelligent enough to work by themselves and motion controllers that are simple and intuitive enough for anyone with experience of BASIC, Structured Text or similar programming languages.

Award winning flexibility

We have delivered two successive generations of award winning servodrive products that deliver unrivaled flexibility and capability with selectable Ethernet technologies such as EtherCAT, Powerlink, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, PRofiNet IO all in one drive.
